I pull tarot, and oracle cards on the daily. I don’t post about the pulls every day, but I do pull cards. I also use cowrie or owo eyo divination, which I do every morning after waking, taking my meds, feeding the dog, and depending on the feeling, smoking a joint, blunt, or bowl of that good good
We will not get into the cowrie divination this morning, and will leave that for another discussion. Today, I had a yes or no question, and decided to do a one card pull off of my Buffy the Vampire Slayer tarot deck. Some people will use three cards, four cards, or more than that. I personally think more than four cards for a yes/no query is a bit ridiculous. Anyway, I had a question, and the one card pull, I felt, would satisfy my needs.
So, I did a quick meditation to get my mind right, concentrated and clarified my question in my head, then began speaking and asking it out loud, while shuffling the deck. No cards popped out during the shuffle session. Spread the cards out, draw one. Now, a lot of people will say draw with your right hand if you are right hand dominant. Well, I write with my right hand, but that is about it. Everything else I do from learning how to sign to kicking a ball, I do with the left side of my body. With that in mind, I always use my left hand to draw cards. I do use my right hand to when casting owo eyo, though.
Anyway, I pulled the High Priestess. Tarot is split up between the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana is made up of 22 cards(usually), beginning with the fool and ending with The World. The Major Arcrana’s cards each hold a universal lesson, something that we all experience, while the Minor arcana is more day to day information. Pulling a Major Arcana card represents massive changes that will help you grow. On the flip side, when the card is reversed or upside down, it usually means denial, and the need for attention and true seeking for your query.
As I said, I pull the High Priestess, who, in the BtVS deck, is represented by Tara, a powerful witch and one half of the lady loving couple, Tillow(Willow/Tara.) It was upright, which is a good thing for my question (which I am not going to include, sorry not sorry.) But this card is inspired by a deep connection with esoterica and the divine. This card indicates a connection to the unknown, and now is the time to explore that connection. But, it cannot be done with logic, It must be done with intution, because, that is where the deep work is done.
So there you have it, folks and friends. My tarot pull of the day. I will probably post more of these as time goes on, but for now, please see the pic below of the High Priestess.
